SEPTEMBER IS NATIONAL CAMPUS SAFETY AWARENESS MONTH

Join us throughout the month of September as we promote the safety and security of our campus community.

Come by to visit with us and sign up for UCAAlert or register your valuables with Operation ID:

  • Thursday, September 2 during tailgating before UCA vs Elizabeth City State football game at the UCA PD Command Post on Bruce Street. Tailgating begins at 4 PM. Kickoff at 7 PM!
  • Wednesday, September 8, 15, 22 & 29 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Student Center
  • Saturday, September 18 tailgating before UCA vs Murray State football game at the UCA PD Command Post on Bruce Street.

Each Thursday during September the video Shots Fired on Campus: When Lightning Strikes will be shown at the Technology Plaza during X-Period. Officers will also be on hand to answer your questions and provide information about campus safety resources.

2010-2011 FACULTY STAFF PARKING PERMITS AVAILABLE

Faculty/Staff parking permits for the 2010-2011 academic year are available now.

Note: The UCA Board of Trustees voted earlier this year to increase the faculty/staff parking permit fee from $51 to $60 per academic year.

VIDEO: How to survive an active shooter on campus

This video, Shots Fired On Campus: When Lightning Strikes, is presented as part of UCA’s emergency preparedness initiatives and in an effort to help educate UCA students, staff and faculty about what they can do to survive in the event of a shooter on campus. You must be a student or faculty/staff member to view the video.

UCAAlert

The UCAAlert System is used to send emergency notifications to the campus community via text message, voice message and e-mail. Students, faculty and staff are encouraged to provide their contact information through the myUCA portal by logging in and following the instructions in the "Update UCAAlert Contact Info" channel.

  • Login to myUCA.
  • Select the Resources tab
  • Follow the instructions to "Update your crisis notification phone numbers for UCAAlert" in the UCA Police channel.

Clery Act Disclosures

The UCA Police Department annually distributes a document entitled Clery Annual Security Report. This document serves as the annual security report for the University of Central Arkansas in compliance with the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Crime Statistics Act.
